420 Getting High
Marijuana just keeps getting better in Colorado in our T.G.I.F. addition. For the past 15 years since kind bud first became widely available in Colorado with strains like Cough, Blueberry, Grape Ape, and LGS (Lime Green Sh**), the Colorado grower has diverged to create its own unique varieties of cannabis. The US Patent Office even said that some of the most interesting names it receives for Trade Marks of marijuana related words come from Colorado. 420 is most known in Colorado for the huge festivals in Boulder every year on that date, to the point where Colorado almost redefines 420, and cannabis as a whole. Colorado probably is turning into the place to be for growing marijuana as even the California growers are feeling a bit played out with full legalization looming.
Colorado as it stands is the only state in the US that has medical marijuana written into the Constitution governing the state of cannabis. In Colorado as in other states, lawmakers pass moratoriums on cannabis growing and distribution that are unenforceable because the constitution protects cannabis production making moratoriums and bans trivial and unconstitutional in Colorado. This gives much leeway to caregivers and patients in Colorado because they can work for the plant and allow the plant to thrive and grow to its full potential. This fall should prove one of the best harvests ever for both California and Colorado. Colorado will see new outdoor varieties, but with grow stores and growing operations up and down every valley in Colorado, some new growers with their bomb proof strains of herb should be showing the pot heads of the world what’s been going on in Colorado with pot.
