There’s a rift occurring in the medical marijuana laws of Colorado vs. California as November 2, 2010 election day approaches. Marijuana is huge news, the biggest questions in this election, where will it be legalized for medical use / recreational use?, how much will the tax be?, where will I get my weed?, will all be answered by voters across the country. The pillars on the shelves of competing pot laws on the books boil down to Colorado and California who no doubt the world is watching.
Colorado modeled it’s new marijuana laws which the Department of Revenue enforces after California’s medical marijuana laws. “Look at L.A.!” is what echoed through out council meetings and up to the state legislature in Colorado when deciding on how and why to regulate cannabis in Colorado. Colorado came up with impossible to follow medical laws which make no sense and contradict the State constitution. Colorado was in such a haste to make laws about weed so we wouldn’t be like California, and now California is about is legalize so what’s in store for Colorado? Colorado is about to become the ‘number 1 pot clown state’ if California legalizes marijuana next week.
California started there legalization process with medical, and eventually moved in the direction of full legalization, supported by so many in the state as the most realistic move. Colorado came up with and puts so much energy into monitoring and regulating medical marijuana, that they made being in ‘the biz’ unrealistic. The weed laws in Colorado are going to lead to a lot of arrests, lost dreams and profits, and at lot of shitty weed. Colorado will be clowning around with their pot laws until they are repealed and California will legalize. Quit clowning around Colorado and like you always say “look at California.” Colorado had the best medical marijuana laws on earth with Amendment 20, and then came up with CO HB 10 – 1284 which has been a miserable failure and an attempt to suppress marijuana freedom in the Centennial State.
Cannabis should be available for everyone, medical or recreational. It harms no one and no one should be arrested for its use, cultivation, or possession. Colorado has the best marijuana in the world, it’s time to legalize and allow Colorado cannabis cultivators to compete with California on a level, legal playing field.
