In 2010 when Colorado enacted HB 10 – 1284, the goal of it’s creators was to force close 80% of dispensaries. What happened after the law was passed? 1100+ dispensaries applied and paid hefty license fees to sell pot in Colorado and be put on stand by to wait for their real license to be delivered or not. CO HB 10 – 1284 also enabled Colorado Cities and Counties to ban commercial cannabis shops, and that’s exactly what happened in Loveland, Colorado. The town had a vote on whether to ban dispensaries, and like many communities in Colorado, the voters of Loveland chose to lock the pot shops up for good. The number of marijuana dispensaries in Colorado is going down, but the amount of patients needing the medicine is rising.

Mountain Medical Leaf is one such dispensary in Loveland Colorado which is having a blow out / give away sale to move their inventory on to patients. Jason Specht is the unofficial spokesman for an advocacy group Loveland Association of Wellness (LAW) who has been following the marijuana industry in Northern Colorado. Encouraging patients to buy product is extremely challenging, and those sales aren’t garnering much income for the dissolving shops, Specht said. “The problem is that these are shark-infested waters,” Specht said. “Everyone knows we’re in a tough spot, so they can get the product very cheap.” Specht said dispensary owners will sell their product even if it’s not at a very competitive price. “It’s just a matter of ‘some money is better than no money,’ ” he said. “That’s where we’re at with that.”

High Country Caregiver takes this opportunity to allow marijuana purveyors to continue to sling the herb as a caregiver. Caregivers are protected by law, will never be voted out of work, and have the opportunity to reach a few select patients for individual care. If you are among the 80% of dispensaries getting shut down in Colorado, all is not a total loss, as this is an opportunity to go back to your ganja roots and the patient – caregiver model of providing cannabis to the 100,000+ patients looking to buy your weed in the great pot clown state of Colorado. inhale.co is a marijuana caregiver website 2.0 building program to help catalyze your caregiver business and make the transition from dispensary back to caregiver. If you haven’t built a marijuana website yet, or if you need some HTML5 templates and marijuana design ideas consider inhale.co, take a deep breathe, you can do this! Grow your marijuana business while your plants grow, all is not a loss and you’ll be back in the dope game in no time. Jah bless the High Country and Colorado marijuana.

Pictured below is some organically grown Purple Trainwreck, grown by a caregiver with lots of love. If you are a patient in Loveland in need of a new marijuana supply, remember Amendment 20 and your caregiver. When you pass the doochie on the left be sure to mention 420.co, notice the .co domain which we are just loving in the High Country. Jah Bless!

Longmont Colorado cast of pot clowns is working to ban medical marijuana in the City. By a 6 - 1 vote the town council banned medical marijuana dispensaries and existing dispensaries within town limits.

The history of marijuana in Colorado continues from the marijuana bandwagon to the marijuana ban wagon. The cast of pot clowns who can’t keep off the pot are everywhere in town council meetings across Colorado talking about medical marijuana and how to ban it and tax it. The marijuana ban wagon this week rolls into Longmont where the City Attorney tried to reason with the Police Chief who seems dead set on not leaving marijuana alone as Peter Tosh suggested long time ago.

“We can design whatever ordinance we want,” Councilman Alex Sammoury said. “But unless we know where they are and can enforce it, what good, really, is it?”

Deputy city attorney Jay Rourke said any code would need to be enforced on a complaint basis.

Police Chief Mike Butler, meanwhile, just asked for a clear standard. Police officers don’t have to know where all the potential offenders are, he said — they just have to know how to deal with them when they find them.

“Let us know what you want to regulate, so that when we find it, we can deal with it,” Butler said.

Know your pot clowns Colorado marijuana patients and know your rights when someone comes around saying they are going to ‘deal with it’. Jah Bless Colorado for the finest organic medical marijuana. Learn how to start your own organic marijuana seed bank. The Longmont Colorado ban should increase the number of growers and caregivers of cannabis which will of course strengthen variety and potency of the marijuana over time. More variety and more grow locations is best for the plant and for Amendment 20 caregiver rights. The cast of town council pot clowns had their say and if you’re not on the bandwagon you can be on the ban wagon as long as everyone is talking about pot.

Could these be your pot clowns?

Watch for the marijuana ban wagon to roll into a town council near you for the captain has no master but the weed surely rules the minds of those who try and control the sacred herb. Roll em tight and fat like Dre or Snoop could roll in at any time to get some relief from all this pot madness in Colorado.

The ACLU is finally stepping in and draws the line that no town shall ban access to medical marijuana when patients need it. The ACLU sent letters on July 29, 2010 to Michigan town council members and mayor.

FRIDAY! 420 Colorado day to celebrate the long waited arrival of the ACLU on the pot scene in Michigan. The ACLU finally draws the line on where they will put up a fight for medical marijuana patients’ rights when after over 50 Michigan communities have banned medical marijuana dispensaries and now 2 cities Birmingham and Bloomfield Hills want to ban medical marijuana use all together. You can’t ban a plant and a natural medicine silly clowns.

Organizations like NORML, and Sensible Colorado have been fighting cannabis prohibition for decades, but now seeing the National and larger ACLU getting involved could be a major step up in the battle for marijuana legalization. Medical marijuana spread quickly to the hundreds of thousands in Colorado, California, and now 12 other states who can legally use the drug, and now those proud users have a bull dog in their court with endless dollars and man power to protect the right of the marijuana patient. Thanks ACLU, and a happy 420.

The ACLU also defended the rights of a patient fired by Walmart this spring, however this is the first time that the ACLU is defending medical marijuana patient’s rights as a larger body. The right to grow and use cannabis is now an American Civil liberty, not just medicine for patients.
