Geo Location on the iPhone 4 has led to High Country Caregiver’s very popular smoke shack map.  Every time a photo is taken with the iPhone 4 built in camera, the GPS in the iPhone adds data that can be loaded into Google Maps.  Google maps gives your 420 smoke location it’s own pin on Google Maps which you can right click on and save to or create your very own map.  This is how the maps are created on 420.co.  Once you create your Google Map, Google conveniently gives you code that you can copy and paste into your website or blog as TuTone does.  Geo Located photos will continue to be fun and cool, but as marijuana evolves, so does technology which is why iPhone and Apple are so great!

Blogs are popular, Facebook is great, but a web developer must see beyond the horizon to the next big thing!  youTube is falling behind a little, iPhone 4 came with a youTube app built right in for viewing videos, which has made youTube very popular, through user generated video content.  youTube has the edge above all others for displaying content on portable devises, but uStream has youTube beat when it comes to streaming live video.  The new uStream 2.0.1 App was released on 3.12.11, and allows users to stream live, and videos are saved to the uStream.com cloud, not the local iPhone devise, saving precious iPhone drive space, thanks to cloud technology.  The uStream app on iPhone 4 allows the user to stream live, partake in chat room conversation, and post to social apps all from the live recording screen.  The possibilities for the Colorado marijuana community are growing with technology just as our medicinal plant does.  What are some of the possibilities with the iPhone 4 to bring Colorado pot to the world?

Great cannabis photos can be achieved with a good macro lens like the Canon 100 mm f/2.8 is ii and a DSLR camera like the Canon 7D.  A good a camera and a good macro lens are only half of the equation of good cannabis photos and macro photography work in general.  With so much marijuana in Colorado it’s about time to start documenting all of this beautiful work through decent photography.  TuTone has found that getting the flash off of the camera is key to creating great shadows and highlights in the macro kind bud photography.  A great flash to use is the Canon Speed Lite 580 EX ii for a macro flash.  The Canon 7D mounted to a Gitzo tripod, and set to wireless flash control allows the 580 EX to work wireless, off camera hand held, close to the bud being photographed.  The off camera configuration for the flash allows for wonderful cannabis photos like the Mr. Nice pictured below.

When marijuana is being banned, advocates often show up in hordes though out Colorado to protest.  Dispensary owners, their legal defense, and patients often give testimony at town council meeting, but unusually in Fairplay before the dispensary ban vote, when public comment was allowed, no one appeared.  Park County has among the highest percentage of patients per population in Colorado, yet no patients, caregivers, or potential dispensary owners came to speak out against the ban of retail cannabis.

Town Attorney Lee Philips reinforced the patients – caregiver model and stressed that the new law in no way effects protections given to marijuana patients under Amendment 20.  Mayor Greg Johnson said that the reason for the ban on commercial marijuana production and distribution within the town centered on the idea that it disrupts schools, teachers, and parents.  Fairplay Mayor also noted that dispensaries are having a negative effect on neighboring towns such as Alma where already one dispensary, the South Park Cannabis Club has shut down.  Existing marijuana centers in Alma such as High Country Healing 2 (HCH2), and Alma Cannabis Theraputics are likely to see an upswing in business as they are the only 2 remaining dispensaries in Northern Park County.

New laws under CO HB 10 – 1284 enabled communities like Fairplay to vote to ban cannabis.  Compared to other communities Fairplay handled the ban well as they are not shuttering any existing marijuana businesses, and they are encouraging the re-emerging patient – caregiver model of marijuana  production originally intended by Amendment 20 and the voters.  Jah Bless caregivers in the High Country.

SNL has a history of marijuana and drug use in general, marijuana goes well with humor of course, makes things funnier and certainly takes the edge off the stand up comedians on SNL.  Stage fright can be reduced with a few good bong hits before you speak or perform in front of an audience.  In this skit, Matt Foley “In a Van Down by the River” talks to kids about marijuana, something that all marijuana patients and caregivers should do.  Whether you have a marijuana card or plan to renew your marijuana card soon, take the time to have some fun with weed.  Pack a fat bong and enjoy this SNL weed skit.

With overgrow  not as important, what’s important now is an overthrow of the government.  It’s nice to see peaceful players like ACT420.org organizing meetings and allowing patients to speak about there concerns, but this is not getting anywhere with helping patients.  Today is yet another Colorado Department of Revenue hearing where the public will be given a chance to give input on CO HB 1284 and the 99 pages of regulations that #1 Pot Clown Matt Cook is unleashing on Colorado pot heads.  ACT420 has taken the time to shred the 99 pages of regulations, especially the parts about cameras, fingerprinting patients, and other invasions of privacy.  The organization has a template for how to address the board at the DOR and be cordial at the meeting.  This has gone on for too long.  It’s predicted that ‘The Department’ will not listen to any of this the rules will be passed as they are regardless.  There is no hope of achieving anything with the Pot Clowns as the DOR ACT420, give it up and get real and quit fooling patients in Colorado.  Weed is everywhere, don’t play into the traps of the regulations that will only harm patients and violate their privacy.  The Pot Clowns will interfere with your weed, but this pot head knows when it’s Mother Nature’s Call to Arms!

Before CO HB 10 – 1284 was passed, the State Legislature allowed the same public input, and nothing was done in favor of patients or to protect them.  The solution to the current problem is not to renew your medical marijuana card, don’t give the CDPHE or DOR any more money and don’t play their game.  Patients and caregiver’s rights are already protected under Amendment 20, and no government body shall interfere.  Since the government is interfering with cannabis in Colorado, it’s time to OVER THROW the government, not work with them in helping make rules to keep control of the people.  Thursday and Friday’s meetings don’t need peaceful input, they need a lynch mob that will put an end to those interfering.  Would you still purchase from a dispensary SURVEY HERE

UPDATE:

12:50 PM:  According the the Denver Post only about 30 people testified at the DOR medical marijuana hearing today, most of them dispensary owners, edible manufacturers, and attorneys.  According to a Westword interview with attorney Rob Corry not many patients will be going to dispensaries anymore after their purchases are recorded and tracked by law enforcement.

Now that I have your attention I want to say that the only way Americans will ever be safe from unjust marijuana laws is to legalize cannabis.  The madness has to end.  Out of everything that you pointed out about changes needed in our country Obama, why didn’t you mention legalizing cannabis.  So many proud, educated, able Americans have had their lives ruined by your drug laws, yet you fail to even mention it.  Every major newspaper in every major city in your country has done articles on medical marijuana, so certainly you know how we are becoming a unified nation of cannabis producers and can shut the doors on the drug problems from overseas related to cannabis with your ending the drug war.  The time is now President Obama legalize marijuana and make America a more successful prosperous nation.  We leave you tonight with a vision once had about Obama and weed that was promised and never came true.

Centennial seeds so far has been disappointing.  Their Further and Django strains are horrible hermaphrodite producers, not just a banana or two, but full on hermaphrodite plants.  Seeing hermaphrodite flowers next to female flowers is every caregivers’ worst nightmare, especially when the male flowers dumped pollen all over which will surely produce seeds.  The problem is minimized by having heavy duty activated carbon filters which neutralize the pollination problems, but the work and effort lost getting to this stage with the Django and Further is devastating.  Full of promise the Django and Further from Centennial were started with the utmost love, but seeds from weak seed banks and breeders will never produce healthy reproducing clones and flowers.

Why do marijuana plants turn hermaphrodite?  When the seeds are produced under stress.  An example is when the females are forced to produce hermaphrodite flowers through stressing them by adjusting light cycles or spraying the plants with silver nitrite.  Stressing the female buds does produce hermaphrodites which produce pollen, which self-pollinate the female plant and produce seeds.  Though this can have good results, combine these techniques with limited indoor cultivation, and the results are hermaphrodites from hell that will destroy your entire garden.  Sorry Centennial Seeds Boulder, but this is a big thumbs down on Further and Django.

If you are growing indoor cannabis as a medical marijuana patient or caregiver and you encounter this problem, do not attempt to move the plant.  Obtain a large ‘Hefty Cinch Sack’ and work it over the entire hermie cannabis plant.  With the bag over the plant and pollen hopefully somewhat contained, you can move the plant safely out of the room with out blasting pollen all over your healthy female plants.  Django and Further are now ready for the garbage.
